Not Sure Where to File
You're not clear which countries expect a tax return from you and on which income.
Fear of Double Taxation
You're worried about being taxed twice on the same income in two countries.
U.S. Filing Rule Uncertainty
You've heard that U.S. citizens must still file even when abroad, but you're not sure when or how.
Foreign Account Reporting
You've read about FBAR, Form 8938, or foreign trust reporting and aren't sure what applies.
Business & Ownership Complexity
You're an owner or partner in a business with operations, bank accounts, or entities outside the U.S.
Our job is to bring order to that complexity and give you a clear path forward, year after year.
How We Support Expats & Globally Mobile Clients
Comprehensive international tax services tailored to your unique situation, helping you stay compliant across borders.

Cross-Border Tax Return Preparation
We prepare U.S. returns for expats and internationally active clients, and coordinate with foreign returns prepared by you or your local advisors.
- U.S. individual tax returns for expats (Form 1040 with relevant international forms)
- Reporting of foreign income, investments, and pensions where required
- Coordination with foreign tax returns prepared abroad
You get a clear explanation of what's being filed and why—not just a stack of forms.
Credits & Exclusions
We help you understand and make use of common cross-border tools where they apply to your situation.
- Foreign tax credits to reduce double taxation
- Applicable exclusions or deductions for foreign earned income
- Planning around timing of income when moving between countries
We explain the options in plain English so you can make informed decisions.
Foreign Asset & Account Reporting
We help you understand which foreign accounts or assets may require separate reporting under U.S. rules.
- Certain foreign bank and financial accounts
- Foreign investment accounts or interests
- Ownership in foreign entities that trigger additional filings
We walk through what you hold and what needs to be reported—not relying on internet forums.
Business Owners with International Connections
If you own or co-own a business with foreign activity, we can help coordinate your U.S. compliance.
- Understand how foreign income flows into your U.S. return
- Coordinate U.S. tax treatment of foreign-source income
- Work alongside your foreign advisors for aligned returns
We focus on keeping your U.S. compliance clean and aligned with your business reality.

FAQ: Global Mobility, Expat & International Tax
Do I have to be local to work with you?
No. We're based in Manassas, VA and serve expats and globally mobile clients connected to Northern Virginia and the DC area, but most of our work is done virtually using secure tools.
Can you coordinate with a tax advisor in another country?
Yes. We're happy to coordinate with foreign tax advisors you already work with so your U.S. return and foreign returns align as much as possible.
Do you only work with expats who still have U.S. ties?
Most of our clients are U.S. citizens, green card holders, or U.S.-connected business owners who still have U.S. filing obligations even if they live abroad.
What if I haven't filed U.S. returns for a few years while living abroad?
That situation is common. We'll review your circumstances and discuss practical next steps to help you move toward compliance.
Can you help business owners with foreign income or foreign entities?
Yes. We regularly work with small business owners and partners who have foreign income or structures and need to understand the U.S. implications.
